Product:

HP LaserJet 1600, 1600n, 2600, 2600n

Category:

Printer, host-based

Problems:

Drivers for Windows 2000 and later do not support network printing using point-and-print, requiring manual setup of the printer on each computer using it.

Workarounds:

HP Support does not recommend using a Windows print server to share a LaserJet 1600 or 2600 "host-based" printer. Further, the 2600n appears to be discontinued.

Use the 1600dn or 2600dn printers instead.
