Company:

StreamCast Networks, Incorporated

Product:

Morpheus 4.9.2 and Earlier

Category:

Peer to Peer Sharing

Problems:

Program shortcuts only appear as the user that installed the application
Defaults to installation folders for storing temporary and downloaded files
"CMorphOptions Construction Error" when starting as limited user
"Cannot close MLNET core! Call TerminateProcess." when exiting as a limited user

Workarounds:

Copy the installed shortcuts from the installing user's Start Menu to the "All Users" Start Menu
Launch once as an Administrator, and "Unblock" morpheus.exe from the Windows XP Firewall when asked
Grant Modify access to the built-in Users local group for the installation folder, by default:

%programfiles%\StreamCast\Morpheus

WARNING: This workaround may expose your Morpheus installation to abuse by limited users.

If solely using Gnutella or G2 peers, use an alternate Gnutella client instead.
