Product:

MFC4800 Laser Printer, Scanner, Fax

Category:

Printer, Multi-Function

Problems:

If you are using Windows NT 4.0 or 2000 Professional, you need to log on with administrator rights when you send a PC-FAX.

This notice comes from the documentation of a product which displays the Designed for Windows XP logo on its packaging.

Workarounds:

Avoid the PC-FAX software entirely, and use the MFC4800's built-in modem with the fax software included with Windows XP and Windows 2000.
